This privacy policy explains how Off The Ground Agency ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal information through AviCheck (avicheck.au). We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Information We Collect
AviCheck is designed to minimise personal data collection. We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it through our contact form.
Contact form submissions:

- Your message content
We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect information from third-party sources. All aviation data displayed on AviCheck is sourced from publicly available CASA and ATSB records and does not contain personal information beyond what is published in the official government registers (e.g. registered aircraft owner names, which are public record).
How We Use Your Information
In accordance with APP 6, we only use personal information for the purpose for which it was collected:
- To respond to your enquiry submitted via the contact form
- To send you a confirmation email acknowledging your message
We do not use your personal information for marketing purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
Cookies and Tracking
AviCheck uses only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use advertising cookies, social media tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that collect personal information. No personally identifiable information is stored in cookies.
Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, as required by APP 11.
Hosting
AviCheck is hosted on Vercel with servers in the Sydney, Australia region. All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption.
Email Processing
Contact form submissions are processed through Mailgun, a transactional email service. Mailgun processes your name, email address, and message content solely for the purpose of delivering your enquiry and the confirmation reply.
Disclosure of Personal Information
In accordance with APP 8, we note that personal information submitted through the contact form may be processed by Mailgun, whose servers may be located outside Australia. We do not otherwise disclose your personal information to overseas recipients. We will not disclose your information to any other third party unless required by law or with your consent.
Your Rights Under the Privacy Act
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:
- Access (APP 12) — Request access to the personal information we hold about you
- Correction (APP 13) — Request correction of any inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, or misleading personal information
- Complaint — Lodge a complaint if you believe your privacy has been breached
